Helictotrichon sempervirens (Blue Oat Grass )

Dense clumps of tall, narrow, spiky blue-grey blades resemble a larger version of Festuca glauca. Among the foliage are bluish brown flowers in arches of one-sided panicles that mature to a wheat shade in the fall. Moderate growth rate.
