This herbaceous, rhizomatous perennial features square-shaped dark burgundy stems adorned with dark green, wide, serrated leaves and topped with purple lobed flowers. The leaves have the scent and flavour of chocolate and peppermint, and can be used in cooking, baking, and put fresh in teas and cold drinks. Fast growth rate.
