Geum triflorum (Prairie Smoke)

Deep fuchsia nodding buds lift their heads to bloom and reveal a plume of thin, pink, waifish tails that resemble feather dusters and aide in dispersing seeds. The tall fuzzy stems are leafless, with a base of fern-like divided green foliage. Moderate growth rate.
