Nandina domestica Goldstream (Heavenly Bamboo)

Evergreen in warmer climates, but semi-evergreen or deciduous in colder climates, this charming shrub bears interesting foliage of pinnate leaves that are divided into lance-shaped leaflets of gold and yellow and takes on a red-orange tinge later in summer, before turning fiery red and gold in fall. The foliage will remain red in warmer climates over winter, but will fall in colder temperatures. In spring, an abundance of tiny white flowers with golden anthers, which attract pollinators, bloom in conical panicles on the branches tips. Moderate growth rate.
