Papaver orientale Queen Alexandra (Oriental Poppy)
This herbaceous perennial poppy features bright coral ruffled ‘crepe-paper’ flowers with dark basal blotches and dark purple centre stamens atop tall stems on a low mound of grayish-green thistle-like leaves that yellow and wither shortly after flowering. Mats of new foliage appear in fall. Moderate growth rate.
