Schizachyrium scoparium Little Red Fox (Little Bluestem)

Starting off as a low basal tuft of blueish-green foliage in spring, and in July, wire-like stems burst through rising above the foliage. As the nights start to cool off in later summer months, the leaves start to darken to shades of purple along with silvered stems. As the season changes, multiple tones of red, purple, and silver develop. Upright habit, winter interest, average growth rate.
