Sempervivum Black (Hens and Chicks)
This succulent perennial features a large rosette bearing bright green pointed leaves with dark burgundy tips and fine cilia on the edges. The entire rosette becomes purplish bronze in cooler weather. The large rosette- “Hen”- will produce small offshoots – “chicks”-, hence its common name. Slow growth rate.
