Thalictrum dioicum (Meadow Rue)

This is a dioecious plant, which means there are plants that contain male flowers, and separate plants that produce female flowers. Panicles of tiny, drooping, greenish-white petal-less flowers in which hang like tiny tassels with a purple edges. Male flowers have yellow stamens and female have purple pistils. This plant dies back in the summer, and low grayish-green basal leaves develop during the fall. Clump forming, slow growth rate.
