Helleborus niger HGC® Jacob (Lenten Rose)

(Helleborus Gold Collection®) Blooms of crisp white petals boast a small centre bunch of yellow stamens and flower on foliage of leathery dark green leaves. As they mature, the flowers turn a shade of rosy pink in the cooler temperatures and pale green with warmer weather. Slow growth rate.

Hellebores get their common name- Lenten Rose- from the fact that they bloom for at least six weeks beginning in late winter, or during the Christian season of Lent, heralding in spring.
